Military Service School Assistance We Offer at ANU
Here are just a few of the veteran higher education benefits we accept:
American National University is proud to be a participant and offers full support for the Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill®. This means that eligible veterans and their dependents may have their tuition and fees fully covered, in addition to receiving a monthly housing allowance and a stipend for books and supplies.
We understand the unique needs of our veteran students, and we are here to support you. Our experienced staff can assist you in navigating and accessing your specific veterans benefits, such as the Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (MGIB-AD), Chapter 31 Veteran Readiness and Employment program, Chapter 1606 Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserves (MGIB-SR), or the Chapter 1607 Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP).
The Yellow Ribbon Grant Program covers tuition costs that have not been applied under the Post-9/11 GI Bill receiving 100% of Chapter 33 benefits.
We gladly accept Tuition Assistance funding from all branches of the military. Active-duty service members can take advantage of this benefit to cover a significant portion of their tuition costs.
Military spouses pursuing their education can utilize the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) program, and we happily accept this benefit. With MyCAA, eligible spouses can receive financial assistance to pursue certificates, licenses, and associate degrees in high-demand fields. Chapter 35 Dependent Education Assistance Program bill provides education benefits to the spouse and child/children of veterans who either passed away or became 100% disabled as a result of a service-connected disability. This bill provides up to 45 months of full-time benefits and 10 years of eligibility.
ANU’s Blue Ribbon Grant Program awards up to $18,000 in additional financial support to eligible veterans, dependents, and military spouses.
Turn your military service into college credit! Your training and experience can help you test out of courses towards your diploma. If you have already begun your studies elsewhere, ANU makes transferring credits simple so that you can get a head start on your program.”
