HVAC/R Technician Certificate
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Apply refrigeration and HVAC/R principles to install, operate, and service residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R system malfunctions using systematic procedures, tools, and manufacturer documentation.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical and control systems in HVAC/R equipment, including motors, controls, and safety devices.
- Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, following EPA, OSHA, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate professional workplace skills including safety awareness, effective communication, and adherence to industry standards and ethical practices.Â
